A new key visual has been released for the upcoming Oblivion Battery baseball TV anime series, which is set to premiere in Japan on April 9, 2024.
The visual showcases the anime’s five main characters in the middle of several sakura trees.

Masato Nakazono (Chainsaw Man chief episode director) is directing the anime series, with Tsuyoshi Iida as assistant director, Michiko Yokote (Tsurune, Call of the Night) as series screenwriter, Hitomi Hasegawa (Dance Dance Danseur) as character designer, and Tomoki Kikuya and Hiroko Yamasaki as music composers. MAPPA is the animation production company for the series.
Other staff members include Junpei Tatenaka (Ace of Diamond) and Masahiro Tokumaru (Hanebado action animator) as action animation directors.
Meanwhile, the main voice cast for the anime includes:

Eko Mikawa’s high school baseball manga series was first launched on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ platform on April 26, 2018. Seventeen tankobon volumes have been released as of January 2024.

Oblivion Battery follows ace high school baseball pitcher Haruka Kiyomine and catcher Kei Kaname, whose skills have diminished after dealing with memory loss. They and several other high school baseball players form a new baseball club at their public high school.
