Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation (also known as Yomiuri TV) announced that it will launch a new animation brand titled “ytv animation.” The announcement comes ahead of Yomiuri TV’s 60th anniversary in 2027, which began with the airing of the Golden Bat 52-episode TV anime series in 1967.

According to Yomiuri TV, the “ytv animation” brand will “leverage Yomiuri TV’s storied history in animations” while “undertaking more challenging titles.” Moreover, they plan to develop more titles that “resonate with audiences in Japan and abroad.”

Yomiuri TV will be present at AnimeJapan 2024, where more information about “ytv animation” will be unveiled. In addition, the broadcaster launched a new website for the brand and an Instagram account that will deliver information about titles, voice actors, and other exclusive content simultaneously to overseas fans.

Yomiuri TV has produced and broadcasted many anime series over its years in operation, including The Star of the Giants, Space Brothers, Inuyasha, and Detective Conan, among many other shows.
