The Good-Bye, Dragon Life (Sayonara Ryuusei, Konnichiwa Jinsei) light novel series by Hiroaki Nagashima is inspiring a TV anime adaptation that will debut sometime this year.

Kenichi Nishida (Papuwa) is directing the series with Naokatsu Tsuda (Tokyo 24th Ward director) as series composer and Nozomi Kawashige (Battle in 5 Seconds After Meeting Episode 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, and 12 sub-character designer ) as main character designer. SynergySP and Vega Entertainment are co-producing.

The lead cast members are Shunsuke Takeuchi as Doran and Hitomi Sekine as Serina.

Good-Bye, Dragon Life is about a powerful and ancient dragon who reincarnates as a human in a remote village. The light novel series, illustrated by Kisuke Ichimaru, has been published by Alphapolis since 2015 and has 23 volumes as of December 2023. The light novels have inspired a manga adaptation by Kurono. The story started as a Shousetsuka ni Narou web novel.
