Last September saw the release of the first music video in the Pokémon feat. Hatsune Miku Project Voltage collaboration. Now, we’ve arrived at the 18th and final song of the project: “Glorious Day,” performed by Eve with Hatsune Miku as featured artist.
The delectable anime music video for “Glorious Day” features a rival-themed plot and includes appearances by all of the project’s earlier Hatsune Miku designs and partner Pokémon. It is directed, storyboarded, and unit directed by Folium’s Daisuke Chiba, who was recently credited as compositing director on Nekomata Okayu‘s “NekoKaburi Na” music video, the TV anime Stardust Telepath, and The Quintessential Quintuplets movie. He has also worked on various music videos/shorts, such as the Hololive Alternative 2nd Teaser PV, under the pen name of tyao.
Outside of those roles, Chiba edited and produced the video and was one of the two production assistants. He also shares compositing credits with Folium colleagues Yuudai Oda (“Tokyo Clone” music video compositing director), Yuuga Kai (Tokyo Clone” editor), and Suguru Shiga (Yuri Is My Job! compositing director). Folium is credited with animation production. LOOM designed the “Glorious Day” version of Hatsune Miku.
