The anime adaptation of Shinmai Ossan Boukensha, Saikyou Party ni Shinu Hodo Kitaerarete Muteki ni Naru (The Newbie Middle-aged Adventurer Was Trained to Death by the Strongest Part and Became Unbeatable) is set to begin airing in July. A trailer and key visual have also been released.

Shinmai Ossan Boukensha, Saikyou Party ni Shinu Hodo Kitae Rarete Muteki ni Naru is based on the HJ Novels light novel series written by Kiraku Kishima and illustrated by Tea, which began in December 2018 and has 13 volumes as of January 2024. The story was originally a web novel, and a manga adaptation by Ken Ogino began serialization in 2019.

The fantasy story takes place in a world where one ought to become an adventurer at as young an age as possible, as the magic that forms the basis of an adventurer’s strength requires training from a young age to develop. However, protagonist Rick Gladiator’s combat might rivals that of an S-rank, the highest adventurer rank, despite getting his start as an over 30-year old. Rick has actually received training from the monstrously strong members of the Orihalcon Fist, a legendary party made up of the continent’s mightiest adventurers, and he continuously uses his resulting capabilities to beat elite adventurers who underestimate him.
