Voice actress Mai Narumi is joining the cast of the Giji Harem TV anime series as Ayaka Nanakura, who is Rin’s little sister. A premiere date for the series has not been announced.
Narumi joins the main series’ leads Nobuhiko Okamoto as Eiji Kitahama and Saori Hayami as Rin Nanakura.
Toshiro Kikuchi (Bungo Stray Dogs Wan!) is directing the Giji Harem anime series, with Yuuko Kakihara (Blue Orchestra, Buddy Daddies) as series screenwriter, Yoshihisa Satou (Summer Time Rendering chief animation director episode 9) as character designer, and Takeshi Watanabe (The Duke of Death and His Maid) as music composer. Nomad is in charge of the animation production for the series.

Yuu Saitou’s slice of life romantic comedy manga originated as a Twitter webcomic that ran from June 20, 2018 to March 5, 2021. It was concurrently serialized in Shogakukan’s Monthly Shonen Sunday from January 12, 2019 to March 12, 2021. Six total tankoubon volumes were published and released as of April 12, 2021.
The manga series was nominated for the Fifth Next Manga Awards in the print category in 2019 and placed seventh out of 50 total nominees.
Giji Harem follows drama club members Rin and Eiji, with the latter desiring to one day have a harem after reading about them in comics. Rin (who harbors a secret crush on him) decides to use her acting skills to portray a variety of different “characters” with unique personalities whenever she’s around him.
