Love Live! Superstar!! Season 3 will be a Fall 2024 anime, with a recent announcement revealing an October release window for the show.
A 2024 release year was revealed last September. The new season was announced in October 2022. Wien Margarete (Na Yui) and Tomari Onitsuka (Sakura Sakakura), the two third-generation Liella idols who will appear in Season 3, were announced last April.
Love Live! Superstar!!‘s Season 1 premiered in July 2021. Season 2 premiered in July 2022. The first season follows five freshmen in the Yuigaoka all-girls high school who form the Liella idol group, with four new characters joining the lineup in the sequel season.
The two seasons were directed by Takahiko Kyougoku with Jukki Hanada as series composer, Yuuhei Murota as original character designer, Atsushi Saitou as character designer, Reiko Kasuga as art director, Rie Katou as color designer, Tadashi Kitaoka as photography director, and Yoshiaki Fujisawa as music composer. Sunrise is credited for the animation production. Yuuki Iinuma was the CG director for Season 1 while Go Kurosaki took over for Season 2.
The show is one of the multiple anime that are part of the Love Live! multimedia franchise, which began in 2013.
