The final Daily Life of Kaiju promotional art for Kaiju No.8 has been released. The artwork this time depicts Kikoru Shinomiya, Reno Ichikawa, and Kafka Hibino in the middle of a running workout.
It was also teased that new information about the anime adaptation is “coming soon.”
Kaiju No.8 will premiere in April 2024. It will be streamed on Crunchyroll and X (formerly Twitter).
The anime is based on the Shueisha-published manga by Naoya Matsumoto, which debuted in 2020 on Shonen Jump+ and has 11 tankoubon volumes as of November 2023. VIZ Media describes the manga as:
Kafka hopes to one day keep his pact with his childhood friend Mina to join the Japan Defense Force and fight by her side. But while she’s out neutralizing kaiju as Third Division captain, Kafka is stuck cleaning up the aftermath of her battles. When a sudden rule change makes Kafka eligible for the Defense Force, he decides to try out for the squad once more. There’s just one problem—he’s made the Defense Force’s neutralization list under the code name Kaiju No. 8.
