A teaser visual and trailer have been released for the upcoming fourth My Hero Academia anime movie, which has been revealed to have the title of My Hero Academia The Movie: You’re Next and a Japanese premiere date of August 2. The movie’s original story will feature a mysterious figure who seems to resemble All Might.
Tensai Okamura (Darker Than Black, Wolf’s Rain, Blue Exorcist, Kuromukuro) is the director for My Hero Academia The Movie: You’re Next. Kenji Nagasaki, the director of the previous movies (and currently chief director on the TV series after directing the first three seasons), is credited as animation advisor.
The other revealed staff for the Bones production are familiar My Hero Academia names like Yousuke Kuroda as scriptwriter, Yoshihiko Umakoshi as character designer, and Yuuki Hayashi as music composer.
The Shueisha-published My Hero Academia manga by Kouhei Horikoshi began serialization in 2014 and has 39 tankoubon volumes as of November 2023. The TV series first premiered in 2016, and its seventh season will begin on May 4 this year.
