The official English X (formerly Twitter) account of Love Live! School idol festival 2 MIRACLE LIVE! has revealed that the mobile game’s global version will launch this February — and end on May 31.

The news arrived less than an hour after it was announced that the Japanese version, which launched last April, will end its services on March 31 at 3 PM JST.

“The Global Version will close its doors on May 31, 2024, and cease in-app purchases accordingly,” says the post. “We appreciate the love and support you’ve shown, and we’re committed to making these last few months an unforgettable moment.”

The Japanese and global versions of Love Live! School idol festival 2 MIRACLE LIVE! were revealed to be in development in September 2022 at SIF Series Thanksgiving Festival 2022. In April 2023, it was announced that the latter would be released sometime that year.

Love Live! School idol festival 2 MIRACLE LIVE! is a Bushiroad-published rhythm game featuring most of the songs from the Love Live! franchise. It includes storylines for the μ’s, Aqours, Nijigasaki School Idol Club, and Liella! groups.

Other Love Live! apps that have met their ends include Puchiguru Love Live! (May 2019), Love Live! School Idol Festival (March 2023), and Love Live! School Idol Festival ALL STARS (June 2023). Link! Like! Love Live!, which launched in April 2023 and features the Hasunosora Girls’ High School Idol Club, is still in operation.
