The previously announced Revue Starlight El Dorado Switch and Steam visual novel is set to launch on August 8 with Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese options. Its opening animation movie has also been released.

The game will feature full voice-acting, as well as new illustrations and music. The Revue Starlight X (formerly Twitter) account adds that Revue Starlight El Dorado will offer a different experience from not just the anime and stage plays, but also conventional visual novels.

Revue Starlight El Dorado will see the members of Seisho Music Academy’s 99th class taking on the titular El Dorado play for the 101st Seisho Festival. In September 2023, it was revealed that the visual novel’s cast would include 99th Class Group B’s Kiriko Masai and Shion Amemiya and the Stage Girl Judy Knightley, an exchange student from London’s Royal Institute of Dramatic Arts. Judy is voiced by former Takarazuka Revue member Tsukasa Hiryuu in the game (she was voiced by Fuuko Saitou in the anime).

Here’s the official synopsis of the Frontwing-developed game:

Our last summer at Seisho Music Academy――
With the 101st Seisho Festival “Starlight” coming up,
we the students of the 99th class take up the challenge to perform “El Dorado”,
an oceanic epic that Japan is proud of, for our summer performance.

The exiled admiral, Salvatore Guglie.
The heir to a royal Spanish family, Alejandro Javier Cavallero Cruz.
Who will “we” choose… between the “two protagonists” of this story?

The curtains rise upon the “next stage”, where students of the 99th class take on the vast ocean.

Three physical editions will be sold exclusively in Japan: the Standard Edition, the Starlight Edition, and the Super Starlight Edition. One of the contents included with the latter is an illustration drawn by Shiori Tani (Revue Starlight the Movie co-main animator) with Maru Takase (“Shirayuki” music video original character designer) as character designer and drawing supervisor. The Standard Edition costs 3,980 yen (~US$27.52) with tax included.
