Two Square Enix mobile games will cease their operations next year. The first to go is Engage Kill, part of the Project Engage multimedia project that includes the Summer 2022 anime Engage Kiss, which will come to an end on March 21, 2024. Fullmetal Alchemist Mobile will follow on March 29, 2024.

According to the statement for Engage Kill‘s end of service, it was decided that it would be difficult to continue providing a satisfactory service for players. For Fullmetal Alchemist Mobile, it was stated that maintaining the team structure needed to continue managing the game had become difficult. The statement also noted that while the game had received favourable reception towards its representation of the Fullmetal Alchemist story, there were various comments and requests from players regarding the product’s inability to deliver a satisfactory experience as well.

Engage Kill was announced in April 2022 and launched for Android and iOS on March 1, 2023. Fullmetal Alchemist Mobile had a longer run, being released for Android and iOS in August 2022.

Engage Kill focuses on the newly founded Rising Sun Military Company after the events of the anime, with the protagonist and founder seeking to end tragedies and deal with a curse that has been inflicted on them. The main female character is Chloe Tano, who has a proper and cute appearance that belies her strength. Engage Kiss characters like Shu and Kisara also appear in the game.

Fullmetal Alchemist Mobile adapts the Fullmetal Alchemist manga and features scenes with 3DCG animation. Both games use turn-based combat systems.
