The Eminence in Shadow anime is getting a movie follow-up titled The Eminence in Shadow: Lost Echoes. An “ultra teaser visual” has been released.
The first season of The Eminence in Shadow 2nd Season premiered in October 2022 and ran for 20 episodes, while the 12-episode second season started in October of this year. The anime is based on the KADOKAWA-published isekai light novel series written by Daisuke Aizawa and illustrated Azunishi, which began in 2018 and has six volumes as of October 2023. The books are published under the Enterbrain label.
Yen Press describes the light novels as:
Even in his past life, Cid’s dream wasn’t to become a protagonist or a final boss. He’d rather lie low as a minor character until it’s prime time to reveal he’s a mastermind…or at least, do the next best thing-pretend to be one! And now that he’s been reborn into another world, he’s ready to set the perfect conditions to live out his dreams to the fullest. Armed with his overactive imagination, Cid jokingly recruits members to his organization and makes up a whole backstory about an evil cult that they need to take down. Well, as luck would have it, these imaginary adversaries turn out to be the real deal-and everyone knows the truth but him!
Both seasons of the anime are directed by Kazuya Nakanishi (Comic Girls assistant director, Vivid Strike! main animator) with Kanichi Katou (Those Snow White Notes) as series composer, Makoto Iino (Suppose a Kid from the Last Dungeon Boonies Moved to a Starter Town) as character designer, and Nexus as the animation production company. The cast includes:

The Eminence in Shadow was first serialized on web novel site Shousetsuka ni Narou in January 2018. The light novels have inspired a manga adaptation and spin-off.
