The trailer for My Hero Academia Season 7 has arrived, with the final section of the video dedicating a few seconds to Romi Park‘s Star and Stripe. A May 4 Japanese premiere date was also revealed.

The May premiere is due to the airing of four recap episodes, collectively titled My Hero Academia Memories, in April.

Season 7 will once again have Kenji Nagasaki (director of the first three seasons) as chief director, Yousuke Kuroda as series composer and scriptwriter, Yoshihiko Umakoshi and Hitomi Odashima as character designers, and Yuuki Hayashi as music composer. Naomi Nakayama (Koikimo, Orange chief director), who has had some previous involvement with the series, is directing this time.

My Hero Academia is based on the Shueisha-published manga series by Kouhei Horikoshi, which began serialization in 2014 and has 39 tankoubon volumes as of November 2023. The Bones-produced anime first premiered in 2016. The last season started airing in October 2022 and ended in March 2023.

The manga is serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump and published under the Jump Comics label. Viz Media describes its plot as:

Middle school student Izuku Midoriya wants to be a hero more than anything, but he hasn’t got an ounce of power in him. With no chance of ever getting into the prestigious U.A. High School for budding heroes, his life is looking more and more like a dead end. Then an encounter with All Might, the greatest hero of them all, gives him a chance to change his destiny…
