The anime adaptation of Angyaman‘s Red Cat Ramen (Ramen Akaneko) manga has received a teaser trailer and July 2024 release date. Some staff and cast details were also revealed.
E&H production, the animation studio founded by Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 director Sunghoo Park, is the animation production studio for the show. The staff includes Hisatoshi Shimizu (Dance Dance Danseur assistant director) as director, Tooru Kubo (Garo: Under the Moonbow planning producer) as series composer and scriptwriter, and Michinori Chiba (Mobile Suit Gundam 00 and AGE) as character designer.
Kenjiro Tsuda is voicing the character of Bunzou.
Ramen Akaneko started serialization in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ in 2022. MANGA Plus describes the plot as:
Meet Tamako, who’s found her way into an interview at a ramen shop run solely by cats. When the feline manager asks if she likes cats, Tamako admits that she’s actually more of a dog person…only to be hired on the spot! But her job description isn’t quite what she expects — rather than serving ramen, she’s now a dedicated cat caretaker…?!
