The second cour of the Ragna Crimson anime adaptation will begin on January 13 (effectively January 14 at 1 AM JST) in Japan. A new key visual has been released.
Cour 1 premiered in Japan on September 30 (effectively October 1 at 1 AM JST) with a one-hour premiere. The anime is based on the Square Enix-published dark fantasy manga by Daiki Kobayashi, which began serialization in Square Enix’s Monthly Gangan Joker in 2017 and has 13 tankoubon volumes as of November 2023.
Penguin Random House describes the Ragna Crimson manga as:
Dragon hunters: warriors armed with special silver weapons who kill their prey for bounty. Lowest among their ranks is Ragna, who forms an improbable partnership with the young genius Leonica, a master dragon slayer with more kills to her name than almost any other. All Ragna wants is to stay by Leonica’s side, but his dream is shattered by an attack from the deadliest dragon imaginable…
