The editorial team of publisher Takarajimasha has revealed the 2024 edition of its Kono Manga ga Sugoi! (known in English as “This Manga Is Amazing!”) guidebook this week, listing the top manga series for the year.
The rankings are divided between male and female readers. Some highlighted titles include Skip and Loafer, RuriDragon, and Ki ni Natteru Hito ga Otoko Janakatta (also known in English as The Guy She Was Interested in Wasn’t a Guy At All).
The top 10 list of manga for male readership are:
- 1. Diamond no Kouzai by Oohashi Hirai
- 2. Daemons of the Shadow Realm by Hiromu Arakawa
- 3. Kanda Gokura-chō Shokunin-Banashi by Akihito Sakaue
- 4. Thunder 3 by Yuuki Ikeda
- 5. Heiwa no Kuni no Shimazaki e by Gouten Hamada and Takeshi Sesimo
- 6. Usuzumi no Hate by Haruo Iwamune
- 7. Haibaiyoushi Mizuiro by Mari Okazaki
- 8. Skip and Loafer by Misaki Takamatsu
- 9. Suna no Miyako by You Machida
- 10. RuriDragon by Masaoki Shindou
Meanwhile, the top 10 list of manga for female readership are:

From the top 10 titles on the list for female readers, Firefly Wedding and Sheltering Eaves are also available in English from various publishers.
