The seventh season of My Hero Academia is set to premiere in Spring 2024. A new visual featuring a pensive-looking Deku with Katsuki, Ochaco, and Shoto was released to accompany the announcement.

My Hero Academia is based on the Shueisha-published manga series by Kouhei Horikoshi, which began serialization in 2014 and has 39 tankoubon volumes as of November 2023. The Bones-produced anime joined the anime landscape in 2016, with its sixth season debuting in October 2022 and running until March 2023. My Hero Academia Season 7 was announced in March and will see the introduction of Star and Stripe (Romi Park), the top ranked Pro Hero of America.

The My Hero Academia manga is serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump and published under the Jump Comics label. Viz Media describes plot as:

Middle school student Izuku Midoriya wants to be a hero more than anything, but he hasn’t got an ounce of power in him. With no chance of ever getting into the prestigious U.A. High School for budding heroes, his life is looking more and more like a dead end. Then an encounter with All Might, the greatest hero of them all, gives him a chance to change his destiny…

As of Season 6, the anime’s staff includes Kenji Nagasaki as chief director, Masahiro Mukai as director, Studio Orphee’s Yousuke Kuroda as series composer and scriptwriter, and Yoshihiko Umakoshi and Hitomi Odashima as character designers.

In addition to Season 7, a fourth movie is also in production.
