A recent “Promotion Reel 2024” video for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has revealed a Spring 2024 release and hour-long first episode for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc and a new World Tour that’s scheduled to begin in February 2024.

The new World Tour, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba To the Hashira Training, will screen a compilation of the 11th episode of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc and the beginning of Hashira Training Arc. It will kick off on February 2 in Tokyo with a special two-day screening event with guest appearances. International locations that will also host guests include New York (February 10), Seoul (February 11), Mexico City (February 17), Singapore (February 17), Jakarta (February 18), Paris (February 24), Taipei (February 24), London (February 25), and Hong Kong (February 25).

According to the promotion reel, screenings will be held in “over 140 countries and regions,” up from the previous count of 80 for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Swordsmith Village-.

Hashira Training Arc was announced in June, after the end of Swordsmith Village Arc. Swordsmith Village Arc started in April and has 11 episodes, with the first and last having extended lengths.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba adapts the Shueisha-published manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, which began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2016 and ended in 2020 with 23 tankoubon volumes. Viz Media describes the manga as:

Learning to destroy demons won’t be easy, and Tanjiro barely knows where to start. The surprise appearance of another boy named Giyu, who seems to know what’s going on, might provide some answers—but only if Tanjiro can stop Giyu from killing his sister first!

The first season of the anime premiered in 2019. It was followed by the highly successful Demon Slayer – Kimetsu No Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train (2020), a TV broadcast version of Mugen Train (premiered in October 2021), and Entertainment District Arc (December 2021 to February 2022).
