The upcoming second season of the original TV anime High Card has been announced to premiere on January 8, 2024. The first season premiered on January 9, 2023 and ran for a total of 12 episodes.
An updated key visual, combining the first visual of Pinochle (High Card) and the second visual of Klondike, was also released.

Junichi Wada (Sakugan) is serving as the director for the series, with illustrator Ebimo as original character designer, Nozomi Kawano (Radiant) as character designer, Naoki Kuroyanagi (Rent a Girlfriend Season 2 script manager) as series screenwriter, BALCOLONY as card designer, Shunpei Mochizuki (Sakugan character designer) and Junichi Hayama (Golden Kamuy main animator) as main animators and action animation directors, and Takashi Hashimoto (Fate/Grand Order The Movie Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot Wandering; Agateram co-effects animation director) as main animator and effects animation director. Studio Hibari is in charge of the animation production for season two.

High Card is part of a multimedia project produced by TMS Entertainment, Kadokawa, and Sammy, as well as authors Homura Kawamoto (Kakegurui) and Hikaru Muno (Kakegurui Trip and Kakegurui Joker). Besides the anime, the project has also spawned several media adaptations such as drama CDs, a manga, and a light novel.

Crunchyroll will stream the second season and describes the general synopsis of the series as:
After discovering that his orphanage was on the brink of closing due to financial stress, Finn, who was living freely on the streets, set out for a casino with the aim of making a fortune. However, nothing could have prepared Finn for the nightmare that was awaiting him. Once there, Finn encountered a car chase and bloody shootout caused by a manʼs “lucky” card.
