A new character PV trailer has been revealed for the Chained Soldier TV anime series, highlighting the character Himari Azuma. The anime is set to premiere on January 4, 2023.
The 33-second trailer showcases the personality and action sequences of Himari on the battlefield.
Gorou Kuji (Bungo to Alchemist assistant director) is directing the anime series, with Junji Nishimura (Vlad Love director) as chief director, Hiroyuki Yoshii (Just Because!) as character designer, Yasuhiro Nakanishi (A Couple of Cuckoos) as series screenwriter, and KOHTA YAMAMOTO (Attack on Titan Final Season co-composer) as music composer. Seven Arcs is handling the animation production for the series.

Chained Soldier is based on the dark fantasy action manga series, written by Takahiro and illustrated by Youhei Takemura, which began serialization in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ online magazine on January 5, 2019. Fourteen tankoubon volumes have been released as of October 2023. Yen Press releases the manga in English.
HIDIVE licensed Chained Soldier and premiered the first two episodes on November 17, 2023 at Anime NYC. The company describes the synopsis as:
Two supernatural forces appeared simultaneously on Earth: entrances to another dimension known as Mato, and Peaches, resources that give unique abilities to women. From the Mato come Yomotsu Shuuki, dangerous monsters that leave destruction in their wake. The government’s Anti-demon Corps stands against these creatures, employing women empowered by Peaches to face the monstrous threat. Yuuki Wakura watches these forces clash from a distance, but when he unexpectedly runs afoul of a Yomotsu Shuuki, he’s rescued by Kyouka Uzen, the chief of the Seventh Unit of the Anti-demon Corp—and she sees something in him that could turn the tide of the monster incursion. Yuki holds the unique power to make Peaches more effective, but he’ll have to become Kyoka’s willing slave to join the fight against the Yomotsu Shuuki and save the world.
