The upcoming Shaman King: Flowers anime has gotten an ending song-unveiling trailer. The theme song is titled “Dear Panta Rhei” and is performed by Sumire Uesaka.
The opening was revealed in similar fashion earlier this month.
Shaman King: Flowers will premiere on January 9 (effectively January 10 at 12 AM JST) in Japan. The anime is based on the Shaman King sequel manga of the same name by Hiroyuki Takei, which ran from 2012 to 2014 in Shueisha’s Jump X. Kodansha describes the plot as:
The action returns in this brand-new sequel to SHAMAN KING! Hana Asakura finds that being the son of Yoh & Anna Asakura isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, and his boredom has him itching for any kind of excitement. But when a fight comes straight to his doorstep, it’s from a place he least expects—his own family? The battle for Asakura supremacy begins!
The Shaman King manga ran from 1998 to 2004 and is collected into 32 tankoubon volumes. It was originally published by Shueisha before being republished by Kodansha in 2018. Aside from Flowers and the ongoing Shaman King: The Super Star., it also inspired the 2011 Shaman King: Zero manga and a number of gaiden titles.
The Flowers anime is a follow-up to the 2021 Shaman King anime adaptation. The manga previously inspired a 2001 to 2002 anime.
