2024’s Detective Conan Reveals “1 Million Dollar no Michishirube” Title, April 12 Premiere, Teaser Visual featured image

The 27th Detective Conan/Case Closed anime movie will be subtitled Hyaku-man (1 million) Dollar no Michishirube and will premiere in Japanese theaters on April 12. A teaser visual, which includes Kaito Kid, Heiji Hattori, and Kazuha Toyama, was also released.

The staff of the new movie, which is set in Hokkaido’s Hakodate, includes:

• Director: Chika Nagaoka (Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet)
Scriptwriter: Takahiro Ookura (Detective Conan: The Bride of Halloween)
Music composer: Yugo Kanno (Detective Conan: Black Iron Submarine)
Animation production: TMS Entertainment

The original Shogakukan-published Detective Conan manga, titled Case Closed by Viz Media, began serialization in Weekly Shonen Sunday in 1994 and has 104 tankoubon volumes as of October 2023. The TV anime began broadcasting in 1996, while the first anime film was released in 1997.

2023’s Detective Conan: Kurogane no Submarine is the franchise’s most popular film and the 18th top-grossing movie in Japan.
