A new main key visual has been unveiled for the currently airing Paradox Live the Animation TV series, highlighting all the anime’s main characters. The 12-episode anime first premiered on October 3, 2023.
This week’s broadcast of the anime will be released as episode 5.5 “Break Time,” which will recap the series’ first 5 episodes.
Naoya Andou (Kemono Friends 2 assistant director, “Hi-DRIVERS!” music video) is directing the anime, with Takayo Ikami (Beautiful Bones: Sakurako’s Investigation) as series screenwriter and script writer, and Kouji Haneda (Scared Rider Xechs) as character designer. PINE JAM is in charge of the animation production.

The Paradox Live media mix project was launched by Avex and Gcrest in early 2020 and includes several music releases, live events, goods and collaborations, stage plays, and more. The franchise utilizes a special Battle System where audience actions provide points for competing teams.
Crunchyroll is streaming Paradox Live the Animation and describes the synopsis as:
Saturated in hip hop culture comes the birth of a new movement known as “Phantom Live ”. Each of the artists have a metal accessory known as “Phantom Metal” which chemically reacts to the wearer’s emotions to produce an image, setting a magnificent stage for enthusiastic youths.
With legendary club “CLUB paradox” hosting the mysterious Paradox Live, four teams: BAE, The Cat’s Whiskers, cozmez and Akanyatsura each receive an invitation to participate, each with their own genre of music in a race to the top.
Each of the four teams go into the competition for a reason. As the competition heats up, so do the unimaginably large motives each of them hides…
