Next season’s Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable! has received a character trailer for Reina Ueda‘s Rena Natsukawa, a neighbour and senior of protagonist Tsubasa Shiki who is a top-scorer and a two-time consecutive beauty pageant winner.
Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable! is based on the Shueisha-published romantic comedy manga by Kai Ikada, which was originally a one-shot before beginning serialization in Shonen Jump+ in 2019. Manga Plus describes the plot as:
High school boy Tsubasa moves to Kitami City up in Hokkaido, where he meets a “gal” at a bus stop. The sight of her standing alone against the white snowscape, bare-legged despite the freezing cold, captures his heart.
The manga has 11 tankoubon volumes as of July 2023.
