A new update for Laid-Back Camp Season 3 has revealed that Nadeshiko and friends will return to the small screen in April 2024. An image visual of Nadeshiko snapping a selfie at a railway station was also released.
Laid-Back Camp is based on the Houbunsha-published manga by Afro, which began in 2015 and will release its 15th tankoubon volume on November 10 this year. The manga was first serialized in Manga Time Kirara Forward but is currently running in the COMIC FUZ app, and is published under the Manga Time KR Comics label.
Yen Press describes the slice-of-life camping series as:
Rin enjoys camping by the lakeshore, Mt. Fuji in view. Nadeshiko rides her bike to see Mt. Fuji, too. As the two eat cup noodles together, what scenery will they behold? This series will make readers fall in love with camping!
Unlike the previous main entries, Laid-Back Camp Season 3 will be produced by Eight Bit instead of C-Station. There are also changes to the staff roster, with the new names including Shin Tosaka (Regalia: The Three Sacred Stars) as director, Masafumi Sugiura (Uma Musume: Pretty Derby co-series composer) as series composer and Naofumi Hashimoto (Ryman’s Club sub-character designer) as character designer. Akiyuki Tateyama is returning as music composer.
The first season of Laid-Back Camp aired in 2018 and was followed by the Room Camp spin-off and a second season in 2020 and 2021, respectively. An anime movie sequel featuring the Laid-Back Camp characters as adults premiered in Japan in July 2022.
