Fans of The Dangers in My Heart will have more than the upcoming second season to look forward to, as an anime adaptation of the manga’s spin-off, Twi-Yaba, has just been announced.

Twi-Yaba is a series of shorts that were posted on X (formerly Twitter) by the manga’s author Norio Sakurai. The spin-off, which mainly delivers more Kyotaro and Anna moments, has been collected into two Kindle volumes.

A preview of the Twi-Yaba anime will be screened at the upcoming TV Anime “The Dangers in My Heart” FAN FESTA 2023 ~karte12.5 Bokura wa Shibuya ni Atsumatta~ event on December 10.

The Dangers in My Heart is an Akita Shoten-published romantic comedy manga that began in 2018. It came first in AnimeJapan’s fourth Manga We Want to See Animated ranking and has eight tankoubon volumes as of March 2023. The first season of the anime ran from April to June of this year, while the second season will premiere in January 2024.

Seven Seas Entertainment describes the manga as:

Quirky courtship awaits in this comedy nominated for the 2020 Manga Taisho Award!

Kyotaro Ichikawa, a boy barely clinging to the bottom rung of his school’s social ladder, secretly believes he’s the tortured lead in some psychological thriller. He spends his days dreaming up ways to disrupt his classmates’ peaceful lives and pining after Anna Yamada, the class idol. But Kyotaro’s not nearly the troubled teen he pretends to be…and it turns out Anna’s a bit odd herself!
