Fujiko F. Fujio‘s T・P BON (Time Patrol Bon) time-travelling manga is getting an anime series that will be released on Netflix next year in two parts. The show is meant to commemorate the 90th anniversary of Fujiko F. Fujio’s birth.
The teaser trailer for T・P BON comes with some staff details: Masahiro Ando (Sword of the Stranger, Sirius the Yaeger) is directing the anime at Bones with Michiru Oshima (Bloom into You) composing the score. For the cast, Akihisa Wakayama and Atsumi Tanezaki are voicing main characters Namihirabon and Ream Stream, respectively.
The T・P BON manga made its debut in 1978 and previously received a TV anime special in 1989. Netflix describes the new anime as:
An ordinary high school student named Bon becomes part of a team of time-traveling agents tasked with saving people’s lives during historical events that happen across different eras and locations around the globe.
