Another new key visual has been released for the upcoming Chained Soldier anime adaptation. This one features not just protagonist Yuuki Wakura (in his transformed non-human form) and the show’s heroines in dynamic poses, but also the Humanoid Shuuki and other formidable-looking characters.

It was also announced that there will be an announcement livestream on October 12 JST with main cast members in attendance.

Chained Soldier (Mato Seihei no Slave) will begin airing in Japan in January 2024. The show is based on the Shueisha-published manga by Takahiro and Youhei Takemura, which began in 2019 and has 13 tankoubon volumes as of June 2023. The manga is serialized on Shonen Jump+ and published under the Jump Comics label.

Yen Press describes the plot as:

Decades ago, gates to an otherworldly and dangerous dimension known as Mato—the “Demon City”—appeared across Japan. Those who partook in the “peaches” growing there gained unique abilities—but only if they’re girls. When down-in-the-dumps high school boy Yuuki Wakura finds himself caught up in a gate, he’s saved by Kyouka Uzen, the beautiful commander of the 7th squad of the Demon Defense Force, who…orders him to become her slave?!

Goro Kuji (Bungo to Alchemist assistant director) is directing the anime with Junji Nishimura (Vlad Love director) as chief director, Hiroyuki Yoshii (Just Because!) as character designer, Yasuhiro Nakanishi (A Couple of Cuckoos) as series composer, and KOHTA YAMAMOTO (Attack on Titan Final Season co-composer) as music composer. SevenArcs is the animation production company.

The cast includes Yuuya Hirose as Yuki Wakura, Akari Kitou as Kyoka, Yume Miyamoto as Himari, Mari Hino as Shushu, and Hina Tachibana as Nei.
