The Welcome Home BL manga will receive an anime adaptation, it has been announced. The announcement was accompanied by an illustration by creator Ichi Ichikawa.
Published by Fusion Product under its The Omegaverse Project Comics label, Welcome Home follows a gay couple and their two-year-old son. Four tankoubon volumes have been released since 2016, and Ichikawa posted that there will be a fifth volume following the resumption of serialization.
INKR, which used to offer the manga in English (Bookwalker Global similarly no longer features the English version on its website), describes the plot as:
Here’s to every day being filled with bliss and laughter. Welcome to the family. Masaki lives as a househusband in the Fujiyoshi household with his loving trophy husband and breadwinner Hiromu and their two-year old Hikari, who is too cute for his own damn good. Full of doubt, the support of his family in their day-to-day lives carries Masaki through to a place of accepting himself for who he is. A feeling, family-oriented BL between a Mr Right and a male beauty who feels like he doesn’t size up. Embracing the good times and the bad, all to be a better today than they were yesterday.
