A 92-second trailer has been released for the upcoming Komada — A Whisky Family anime movie, providing the longest look yet at the latest title in P.A.Works’ “working series” of original anime and a taste of the newly announced theme song “Dear my future” by Saori Hayami. A main visual and additional cast details were also unveiled.

The newly announced cast names are:

Kenyuu Horiuchi as Kou Komada
Mikuko Inoue as Miu Komada
Yuuichi Nakamura as Kei Komada
Shinpachi Tsuji as Tsutomu Shouji
Kenichi Suzumura as Yuusuke Saitou

Komada — A Whisky Family, which was featured at Annecy 2023 as part of the Contrechamp Feature Film Selection, is set to premiere in Japan on November 10. Its plot is described as:

Rui takes over the family business distillery facing imminent doom. They work to rebuild the business by seeking to reproduce the long lost signature whiskey.

Masayuki Yoshihara (The Eccentric Family) is the director of the film, with Yukito Kizawa (Sword Art Online the Movie -Progressive- Aria of a Starless Night) and Muneo Nakamoto (The Irregular at Magic High School: Reminiscence Arc) as scriptwriters, Kousuke Kawatsura (The Eccentric Family character designer) as character designer and chief animation director, and Tatsuya Katou (Trigun Stampede) as music composer. Other staff include:

• Art director: Yuusuke Takeda (Vinland Saga, Chainsaw Man)
• Color designer: Miho Tanaka (Burn the Witch)
• Compositing director: Satoshi Namiki (Komi Can’t Communicate)
• Original character designer: Tomomi Takada (Skip & Loafer in-between check) 

The cast includes Hayami as Rui Komada, Kenshou Ono as Kotaro Takahashi, Maaya Uchida as Tomoko Kawabata, and Yoshimasa Hosoya as Hiroshi Yasumoto.
