The Berserk of Gluttony fantasy anime has received a final trailer as it gets closer to its October 1 premiere on Crunchyroll and certain Japanese streaming sites (the Japanese TV broadcast begins on October 4).

In addition to the trailer’s release, a six-episode mini-anime series with chibi versions of the Berserk of Gluttony cast debuted its first episode on YouTube.

Berserk of Gluttony is an adaptation of the light novel series written by Isshiki Ichika and illustrated by fame, which began in 2017 and inspired a manga adaptation by Daisuke Takino in 2018. Up till October 2022, eight volumes were published under Micro Magazine’s GC Novels label. A GCN Bunko label publication of the light novels began in 2021 and has six volumes as of April 2023.

Seven Seas Entertainment, which publishes both the light novel and manga versions of Berserk of Gluttony in English, describes the former as:

Fate Graphite is one of the forsaken. Cursed with the skill “Gluttony,” he is ever starving, never sated…until the day he kills a dying thief and devours the man’s strength—and his soul. The true hunger of Fate’s Gluttony has awakened, and if he can learn to control his power, he will at last be the master of his own destiny.

Tetsuya Yanagisawa (Orient) is directing the anime series with Mariko Kunisawa (Orient) as series composer and Takafumi Furusawa (Orient animation director) as character designer. A.C.G.T. is the animation production company.

The cast includes Ryouta Oosaka as Fate, Tomokazu Seki as Greed, Hisako Toujou as Roxy, Misato Matsuoka as Myne, and Hitomi Sekine as Eris.
