A new trailer has been released for the upcoming My Daughter Left the Nest and Returned an S-Rank Adventurer anime. The video previews the show’s voice cast and the opening song “Sen” by Yoshino Nanjou.
More cast members were also revealed, including Kikunosuke Toya as Ashcroft, Tomokazu Sugita as Lionel, Tetsu Inada as Cheborg, Yousuke Akimoto as Dortos, and Hitomi Nabatame as Maria.
My Daughter Left the Nest and Returned an S-Rank Adventurer will premiere in Japan on October 5 (effectively October 6 at 1:05 AM JST). It is based on the light novel series written by by Mojikakiya, illustrated by toi8, and published under Earth Star Entertainment’s Earth Star Novel label. The books began in February 2018 and ended in November 2021 with 11 volumes.
J Novel Club publishes the light novels in English. Bookwalker Global describes the plot as:
The life of an adventurer isn’t always a glamorous one. Belgrieve finds this out the hard way when a deadly encounter robs him of his leg and the ability to pursue his dreams not long after setting off for fame and fortune. But fate isn’t finished with this retired adventurer! While gathering herbs in the wilderness, he discovers an abandoned baby girl and names her Angeline after deciding to raise her as his own. Naoki Murata (Dead Mount Death Play Episode 10 director) is directing the anime at Typhoon Graphics with Takeshi Mori (Stratos 4 Advance and The Skullman director) as chief director, Yuuichirou Momose (Rokudo’s Bad Girls) as series composer, and Jun Shibata (The Skullman, Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway co-character animation director) as character designer and chief animation director. Saori Hayami is voicing Angeline while Junichi Suwabe is playing Belgrieve.
Other cast members include Maki Kawase as Anessa, Rumi Ookubo as Miriam, Marina Inoue as Helvetica Bordeaux, Saku Mizuno as Sasha Bordeaux, Kana Ichinose as Seren Bordeaux, Fairouz Ai as Marguerite, Houchuu Ootsuka as Graham, Kanon Takao as Charlotte, and Kazuki Ura as Byaku.
My Daughter Left the Nest and Returned an S-Rank Adventurer was originally a web novel that began serialization on Shousetsuka ni Narou in September 2017. A manga adaptation of the light novels by Kuu Urushibara began in May 2018.
