The upcoming Pole Princess!! anime movie has received a 60-second main trailer and a key visual. A November 23 Japanese release date was also announced.
The pole dancing-themed movie is part of a Tatsunoko Production-produced anime project that was announced in November 2022. An entirely CG web anime series with seven episodes and a prologue episode was released on YouTube with English subtitles between December 2022 to April 2023.
The Pole Princess!! series follows 17-year old Hinano Hoshikita, whose desire to save her grandmother’s planetarium, followed by an encounter with a pole dancer, leads to her deciding to learn pole dancing to attract customers. But before she can do so, Hinano and her childhood friend have to find four students so that Azumi, the pole dancer that Hinano saw, can avoid closing her school. The movie will see Hinano and her friends taking on the Pole Dance Japan Cup.
Pole Princess!!‘s cast includes Rio Tsuchiya as Hinano Hoshikita, Anna Suzuki as Lilia Saijo, Yui Ogura as Mio Tosaka, and Minami Hinata as Subaru Nanyo, Yoshino Nanjou as Yukari Mikoshiro, Rina Hidaka as Sana Murafuji, Saori Hayami as Noa Aoi, and Rie Kugimiya as Azumi Shinou. Hinano, Lilia, Mio, and Subaru make up the Galaxy Princess team, while Yukai, Sana, and Noa form the Aile D’Ange trio.
