Our Rainy Protocol’s Main Trailer Previews Theme Songs, Reveals Premiere Date featured image

The upcoming esports-themed TV anime Our Rainy Protocol has received a main trailer ahead of its newly revealed October 7 (effectively October 8 at 1:30 AM JST) Japanese premiere date. In addition to new footage, the trailer includes a preview of the show’s newly announced theme songs.

Our Rainy Protocol‘s opening song is titled “S9aiR” and is performed by SennaRin. The ending song is “Another Complex” by Somei

The original anime will follow Shun Tokinoya, a 17-year old who juggles school and part-time work to support his mother and sister, the latter of which is unable to walk due to an accident that claimed their father’s life. With the support of his friends, Shun slowly returns to the world of online games.

Daishi Katou (Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean Ep 13 director) is directing the show at Quad with Yasutaka Yamamoto (Aharen-san wa Hakarenai) as chief director and Kanna Hirayama (OSHI NO KO) as character designer. Other staff include:

• Story draft writer: Kotsukotsu 
• Series composer: Katsuhiko Takayama (Dusk Maiden Of Amnesia) and Yamamoto
• Original character designer: booota (I Shaved My Beard Then Picked Up a High School Girl light novel illustrator)
• Music composer: Satoru Kousaki (Vivy -Fluorite Eye’s Song-) and MONACA (NieR:Automata Ver1.1a)

The cast includes Kenshou Ono as Shun, Sora Amamiya as Yuu Saegusa, Inori Minase as Nozomi Inatsuki, Momo Asakura as Mio Tokinoya, Ryouhei Kimura as Akito Sendo, Tomokazu Sugita as Ryusei, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Rikuo, Kaede Hondo as Seshiru, and Azumi Waki as Emiko.
