The Captain Tsubasa Season 2: Junior Youth Arc anime has received a main trailer and an October 1 Japanese premiere date. The trailer includes a preview of the newly announced opening song “AS ONE” by Johnny’s West.
Captain Tsubasa Season 2: Junior Youth Arc is the sequel to the 2018 soccer anime series. Previous Captain Tsubasa anime were broadcast in the 80s, 90s, and aughts. The Youichi Takahashi manga that inspired these shows ran from 1981 to 1988 in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump before receiving multiple sequels, including the 90s’ Captain Tsubasa: Junior Youth Arc.
Captain Tsubasa Season 2: Junior Youth Arc is directed by Katsumi Ono (Skeleton Knight in Another World) instead of Toshiyuki Katou and is produced by Studio KAI instead of david production. Atsuhiro Tomioka and Hajime Watanabe are returning as series composer and character designer, respectively.
The returning cast members include Yuuko Sanpei as Tsubasa Ozora, Kenichi Suzumura as Genzo Wakabayashi, Takuya Satou as Kojirou Hyuuga, Ayaka Fukuhara as Taro Misaki, Yuuichirou Umehara as Ken Wakashimazu, Mutsumi Tamura as Ryo Ishizaki, Wataru Hatano as Hikaru Matsuyama, and Souma Saitou as Jun Misugi. New additions include:
