The Shin Jigen! Crayon Shin-chan The Movie Chounouryoku Daisensou ~Tobe Tobe Temakizushi~ 3DCG movie, which premiered in Japan on August 4, has received a new trailer featuring the theme song “Future is Yours” by Sambomaster.
Shin Jigen! Crayon Shin-chan The Movie, the first 3DCG movie in the Crayon Shin-chan anime franchise, sees protagonist Shinnosuke getting powers from a mysterious light from space. The film is produced by Shirogumi and directed and written by Hitoshi Oone (Sunny: Our Hearts Beat Together; Fireworks scriptwriter).
The cast includes Yumiko Kobayashi as Shinnosuke Nohara, Miki Narahashi as Misae Nohara, Toshiyuki Morikawa as Hiroshi Nohara, and Satomi Koorogi as Himawari Nohara. There are also guest voice actors like Toori Matsuzaka, Kuuki Kaidan’s Mogura Suzuki and Katamari Mizukawa, and Akari Kitou.
Crayon Shin-chan began in 1990 as a manga by the late Yoshito Usui. The Futabasha-published manga ran until 2010 with 50 volumes before being succeeded by the ongoing Shin Crayon Shin-chan, which is credited to Usui and UY Studio. An anime series adaptation began in 1992 and is still on-going with over 1000 episodes. The anime’s 30th movie, Eiga Crayon Shin-chan: Mononoke Ninja Chinpuden, was released in Japan in April 2022.
