A new key visual has been released for the Highspeed Etoile anime series, in collaboration with the Japanese Super Formula Championship, which is hosting its fourth round. The visual highlights the character Lorenzo M. Salvatore and his red racing car. The anime series is scheduled to premiere in 2024.
Takuya Fujima (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha ViVid manga artist, Warlords of Sigrdrifa original character designer) is serving as the original character designer for Highspeed Etoile. An animation studio and additional production staff members have not yet been revealed.
The voice cast for the anime includes Fuuka Izumi as Rin Rindo, Youko Hikasa as Kanata Asakawa, Shiori Izawa as Towa Komachi, Yui Horie as Sofia Tokito, Ayaka Suwa as Yoran Ryu, Nana Mizuki as Alice Summerwood, Kenichirou Matsuda as Richard Parker, and Kousuke Toriumi as Lorenzo M. Salvatore.
In addition to the Super Formula Championship, the anime features collaborators such as King Amusement Creative Sonic Blade, Yostar, and Good Smile Company.
Highspeed Etoile takes place in a world that has seemingly achieved its environmental-related goals. In the midst of all this, a next-generation race dubbed the NEX Race, which involves speeds of over 500 km per hour and the latest technology to ensure safety, was suddenly announced. Main protagonist Rin is a former ballet dancer who is now making her debut as a NEX Race racer.
