A new key visual and PV trailer have been released for the second cour of Play It Cool, Guys. The slice-of-life comedy anime is taking a break this week and will broadcast its 13th episode on January 9, 2023.
The new trailer from Avex Pictures previews the main characters’ daily clumsiness that will be featured in upcoming episodes. The anime premiered in Japan on October 10, 2022 and will run for two cours, comprising 15-minute episodes.
Meanwhile, the opening theme for the second cour of Play It Cool, Guys is “Warau na!” by Vocaloid producer and singer syudou.
The main voice cast consists of Chiaki Kobayashi as Hayate Ichikura, Kouki Uchiyama as Shun Futami, Yuuichirou Umehara as Takayuki Mima, and Shouya Chiba as Souma Shiki.
The production staff includes Chiaki Kon (Sailor Moon Eternal) as director, Makoto Uezu (Rumble Garanndoll) as series screenwriter, Eri Taguchi (Vampire in the Garden co-main animator) as character designer and chief animation director, and Masato Nakayama (22/7) as music composer. Studio Pierrot is handling the animation production.
Other staff include Momoko Nakagawa (Sing a Bit of Harmony) as main animator, Studio Wyeth’s Mio Isshiki (Harukana Receive) as art director, Mayumi Nagashima (Gunjou No Magmel) as color designer, and EXPLOSION’s Naoki Etou (Assault Lily Bouquet) as photography director.
Kokone Nata’s original manga has been serialized on Square Enix’s Gangan Pixiv online comic platform since February 23, 2019. It is published under the Gangan Comics Pixiv label and began as a webcomic on Twitter. Five tankoubon volumes have been released as of October 2022.
