The official Twitter account and website for the upcoming Kaguya-sama: Love is War -The First Kiss That Never Ends- has revealed a new trailer for the anime film. The trailer also features the film’s opening theme song “Love is Show” by Masayuki Suzuki featuring Reni Takagi.
Aniplex of America also announced that the Kaguya-sama: Love is War film will open in select U.S. theaters in February 2023. It will premiere in Japan theaters on December 17, 2022 and will air on television there afterwards.
A special screening of the film recently premiered at Anime NYC 2022, teasing some new upcoming scenes.
The main voice cast of Kaguya-sama: Love is War -The First Kiss That Never Ends- includes Makoto Furukawa as Miyuki Shirogane, Konomi Kohara as Chika Fujiwara, Ryouta Suzuki as Yuu Ishigami, Yumiri Hanamori as Ai Hayasaka, and Miyu Tomita as Miko Iino.
The production staff for all three seasons consist of Mamoru Hatakeyama as director, Yasuhiro Nakanishi as series screenwriter, Yuuko Yahiro as character designer, Risa Wakabayashi as art director, Kanako Hokari as color designer, Masaharu Okazaki as photography director, and Kei Haneoka as music composer. A-1 Pictures handled animation production for all seasons and the film.
Aka Akasaka’s original manga series ran in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine from March 24, 2016 to November 2, 2022. 27 tankoubon volumes have been released so far, with a 28th volume due for release on December 19, 2022. The manga was published under the Young Jump Comics label.
Akasaka most recently announced his retirement from drawing new manga to focus solely on writing.
