The upcoming Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero CG anime movie has received several new trailers and an April 22 release date in Japan. A key visual was also released.
The staff includes Tetsurou Kodama (Dragon Ball Super: Broly co-CG sequence director) as director, Kubota Chikashi (One-Punch Man character designer) as animation director, Nobuhito Sue (Dragon Ball Super: Broly art designer) as art director, Rumiko Nagai (Dragon Ball Super: Broly) as color designer, and Naoki Satou (EUREKA: EUREKA SEVEN HI-EVOLUTION) as music composer. Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama is the character designer and scriptwriter.
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is the second film to be inspired by the Dragon Ball Super anime and manga series. The previous film, Dragon Ball Super: Broly, was released in 2018, while the series ran from 2015 to 2018. The manga, written by Toriyama and drawn by Toyotarou, began in 2015 and is still ongoing. The manga is published under the Jump Comics label.
